In 1910 most blacks still lived in the south. However from 1910 onwards there was a great black migration to the north. Many blacks were getting fed up of the way they were treated in the south and decided to move to the lest racist north is search of jobs in the factories in the big cities. However when they arrived they could only get the lowest paid jobs and ended up working in the factories and

at the Civil Rights movement did make ground and Martin Luther King Junior was a huge influence all across America. His tactics of no violence did make great achievements and gained sympathy and support from white people from all over the place, But although the achievements were great they only affected southern blacks and northerners had to face life in the ghetto on very low pay and extremely unhygienic conditions with nothing changing for them.
