Wilhelm died in 1941 at the age of 82 of natural causes. Wilhelm was buried at his Dutch estate in Doorn, with military honours at the request of Adolf Hitler. Also at Wilhelm's request he was buried without the swastica flag flying.
The Kaiser will always be remembered because during his time in power, Germany flourished and it became one of the most industrialized nation in Europe. He will also be remembered for his strong military beliefs.
