Alexander possibly funded these schools, where Aristotle teached philosophy for the next thirteen years. In 323 B.C. Alexander the Great died. This raised political turmoil in Athens, mainly towards Macedonians, and Aristotle was to be tried in the court. Rather, he fled to the island of Euboea. He then died in 322 B.C.
