Animals are legally considered subordinate to humans. They are physically and mentally inferior but they are still living creatures. They require food, sleep, reproduce and feel pain therefore they should have some form of legal defense. Although animal testing has been very advantageous for our Society some of these practices can be classified as torture. I believe unnecessary animal testing shouldn't be allowed. I also think scientist should not in anyway be criminally charged for

populate areas and even effect themselves with starvation. As horrid as this may sound its our way of life. I'm not a vegetarian and animals live off each other so I am not against slaughtering cows, chickens and other nutritional livestock for the nourishment of our country. I do not believe animals should be used only for their fashionable furs. If we kill the animal just for our clothing this is somewhat of a waste.
