Analysis of The Road Not Taken
Robert Frost's poem The Road Not Taken begins with two roads which symbolize his opportunity for a career change. The "yellow wood"(line l) indicates he is not a young man an he is sorry he cannot combine both jobs into one. He gives the choice every consideration but it is difficult to see that far into the future.

Robert Frost begins his profession at age nineteen by writing poetry for newspapers and magazines. Twenty years into his career, he will publish his first book and he begins a career of writing, publishing and reading for audiences. This "difference" is the best for him.
