Funding for HIV/AIDS The HIV/AIDS epidemic begain in 1981. Since then more than 630 million people have been diagnosed with AIDS. When this epidemic fist began, overall funding was on the increase each year, with new foundations forming to raise more more for a cure. As the years have passed and brought us to today, the monies issued for funding and research have decreased dramatically. Eventually the funding for HIV/AIDS will be used in a manor that is appropriate and perhaps there is a cure on it's way to being discovered. Until that time comes, we need to be cautious on how we spend those funds given and together work as a team to rid ourselves of this terrible disease.
