Booth then proceeded to escape and stayed at large until cornered in a tobacco barn and was shot in the back, causing his eventual death. Although this is true, the events of September 11, because they took many more lives and condescended directly upon the public, will more widely be remembered not only in the united states but around the world. Many more changes were made after 9.11 than after the presidential assassination. Today the government hopes to intercept any future attacks on the American people; we will just have to wait and see.
