Plot: In September of 1939 World War II started and Polish Jews were forced to register and relocate. Oskar Schindler walked into the Jewish Council to find Itzhak Stern. Another, more minor, theme of the movie is the engraving on Schindler's ring, "He who saves one life - saves the world entire." Schindler saved over 1100 Jews by buying them from Goeth to work in his factory. The Jews that Schindler saved were a small number compared to how many Jews were in the Holocaust but to the Jews in the factory it was everything.
