Violence: Blame it on the Media Recently, violence in the media has received a lot of scrutiny. Many individuals have grown concerned with increasingly explicit television shows. Even still, it's a stretch to claim your view of the world can be changed by habitually watching violent acts. The author sums it up best when he says, "no criminal has ever had his sentence reduced because he was under the influence of TV ("Shock Horror," 2003)". Until this happens, it's pretty antagonistic to blame violent crimes on television.
